Sunday Setlist

back to electric

Instead of having rehearsal this week we just had a time of food and fellowship with the team.  That said, we started rehearsal early this morning at 7:30 (service start @ 9:30).  I played electric guitar on Today Is The Day since the song begs for two electrics, and also to handle the solo (Lincoln is a monster!).  About 40 minutes into rehearsal our keyboard player hadn’t shown up and it was clear that he wasn’t going to, so I hopped back to the electric guitar for all the songs to fill in the missing pad/rhythm sounds.  It was fun and a bit interesting as I don’t play electric very much at all anymore.  Kinda nice to change things up once in a while. I got a text from our keyboard player a bit later and turns out he had a long night studying and forgot to set his alarm.  Hey, it happens to all of us!

Anyway, the set turned out great with no major issues.  We flowed for a while after Hosanna and Pastor Aaron started singing Here I Am To Worship on the fly as it wasn’t in the setlist.  The band picked it up well without music and the congregation loved it. I love when that happens!
